The Australasian College
of Phlebology held the 2008 meeting on the Gold Coast;
Australia's favourite place to mix business with pleasure.
The Gold Coast is easy to get to and famous for its brilliant
sunshine, superb weather and stunning landscapes of ocean,
waterways and forests. It is as renowned for its
tranquil rural hinterland as it is for its vibrant city life.
The conference was held at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise;
a luxury resort offering spacious rooms with ocean views and
private balconies. The hotel is a short stroll from
award winning restaurants and cafes, major shopping centres
and sun-soaked beaches.
The academic program covered many aspects of
phlebology. Following was the program overview:
All ACP members were invited as well as interested physicians
and registered nurses.
MOPS and AVE points were be available for the program and
endorsed for CME purposes by the ACP and the RNZCGP.
